KCE Explores Hydrogen Power Plant Study with HDF Energy and Air Liquide

PT Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE), together with Air Liquide Indonesia and HDF Energy, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly conduct a feasibility study on the use of hydrogen as an energy source through fuel cell technology. This multi stakeholder collaboration brings together KCE’s expertise in the electricity industry, Air Liquide's expertise in industrial gas and technology, and HDF Energy’s as a developer of hydrogen based fuel cell power plants. This study will analyze the technical, commercial, and environmental aspects in order to support the national energy transition agenda for achieving industrial sustainability.

The “Hydrogen to Power” project has the potential to make KCE a pioneer in supplying electrical and hydrogen in the industrial area, using technology that generates net-zero emissions. The results of the study will then be used as a strategy foundation for investment decisions and support the national energy transition roadmap towards lower carbon emissions.
